CORRAO | CORRAU | CURRAO | CURRAU

Corrao is typical Sicilian, especially from Palermo, Corrau, practically unique, is probably due to a transcription error of the previous one, Currao has a Calabrese stock, especially in Catanzaro, and a Sicilian in Adrano, Bronte and Randazzo in Catania, with strains also in Messina and Malvagna (ME), Currau is probably born from errors of transcription, they all derive from dialectal modifications of the name Corrado, in some cases they can derive from names of places like the Calabrian Lake Currao.
