ENGAZ

Very rare it is specific of the Val d'Aosta, in the area of Torgnon, it could derive from the Germanic name Engel, according to some it would be a modification of the name of the Henchoz family originally from Romande Switzerland a branch of which would have moved to Genoa in 1500 and thence in Val d'Aosta.
