FARNETI | FARNETTI

Farneti is typical of the Forlì area and should derive from the locality name Monte Farneto (FO), with a stock also in Umbria which should derive from the toponym Farnetta Montecastrilli (TR), while Farnetti, very rare, would seem to be from Lazio and should derive from the toponym Farneto in Ciociaria, a common element is however the original derivation of the name from the presence in the vicinity of oak woods of Farnie.
