Etymological origin of Italian surname: Fedrizzi

FEDRIZZI

Fedrizzi is specific to Trento and Trentino, to Ton, Nanno, Segonzano, Lona-Lases and Cles and to Bolzano, with a secondary lineage also in the Verona area, it should derive from an Italianization of the Germanic name Fritz (Friedrich). We find traces of this surname in Roncogno di Pergine Valsugana (TN) in a will dated 1698 where a certain Don Nicola Fedrizzi, curate of Roncogno, is witness.
