Finizi, almost unique, is from central Italy, Finizia, very rare, is from the Molise and Campania area, Finizio has a stock in Rome, one in Ortona in the Theatine area, one in Carpino and Lucera in the Foggia area, a very consistent one in Naples, with excellent presences also in Giugliano in Campania, Pozzuoli, Casoria, Castellammare di Stabia, Casalnuovo di Napoli and Melito di Napoli in Naples and Salerno, and one in Potenza and Venosa in the area of Potenza, should derive from the Latin name Finitius, Finitia, of whose use we have an example in Mainz in Germany, where, on an ancient Roman tombstone we can read: "I (ovi) O (ptimo) M (aximo) / et Iun (oni) Reg (inae) / Finitius Fi / delis mil (es) / n (umeri) Cadda / rensium / in his / pos (u) it / Fusco et / Dextr (o) co (n) s (ulibus) ".
