Lo Guasto is typically Sicilian from the high Agrigento, from Cammarata and San Giovanni Gemini, it should derive from a nickname referring to a locality, failure would in fact be due to the dialectal alteration of the Latin term castrum (military camp, but also in the Middle Ages castle ( see CASTRO).
