Iuvara, very very rare, and Juvara, absolutely rare, are typical of the area between Syracuse and Catania, Iuvarra and Juvarra are practically unique, they should derive from a nickname generated by the term juvaro or luvaro (type of fish, sea bream), according to others it originated from an ancient toponym, traces of this surname can be found in Messina in 1600 with the silversmith craftsman Pietro Juvara.
