Lasio is specific to southern Sardinia, Serramanna in the Middle Campidano in particular, but also to San Sperate, Villasor and Cagliari in the Cagliari area, Lasiu, more rare, is typical of Nurachi in the Oristano area, they should derive, also through an Italianisation process from nicknames originated from the archaic Sardinian word lasiu (lace used to capture animals), perhaps to identify in the hunter's progenitors.
