LICINI

Typical of the Bergamo area, it also has a stock in the Belluno area, it should derive from the Latin name Licinius, even indirectly, through the ancient Lombard toponym Forum Licini (Foro di Licinio) which could be identified with the current Lecco, also mentioned by Pliny in his Naturalis Historiae: "... Oromobiorum stirpis esse Comum atque Bergomum et Licini Forum aliquotque circa populos auctor est Cato ...".
