Liuti is typical of central Italy, has a stock in Jesi and Falconara Marittima in Ancona, some meager presence in Umbria and a stock in Rome, has a small stock also in Brindisi, Lute, almost unique, is from the Roman, should derive from the medieval name Liutus, of which we have an example in a deed of donation of 1159 to Anagni in frusinate, where we read that the donor is a certain Liutus miles trivensis.
