LO | LO VERSO | LOVERCIO | LOVERSO | VERCIO

Lovercio and Lo Vercio, absolutely rare, would seem to be from Messina, Loverso seems typical of the Reggio area, of Laureana di Borrello and San Pietro di Caridà, Lo Verso is decidedly Palermitan, they should all derive from nicknames originated from the characteristic of the progenitor of being guercio, then would be to indicate those of the guercio, the family of the guercio, through dialectal modifications of the word.
