Lodovichi is specific to the Arezzo area and Perugia, Cortona, Monte San Savino and Arezzo and to Castiglione Del Lago (PG), Lodovici has a stock in the Bergamo area, especially in Bonate Sopra, Bottanuco and Capriate San Gervasio, one in Carrara, one in Pesaro and Fabriano (AN) and one in Rivodutri in the rietino area as well as in Rome, Lodovico is absolutely rare, Lodovisi has a stock in Camugnano in Bologna, one in Poggio Moiano in the rietino and one in Rome, should derive from the medieval name Lodovisius (form archaic of Ludovisius) (see LUDOVICI) or from the name Lodovicus from this derivative.
