Loseto is specific to Bari, it should derive from the name of a suburb of Bari, called Loseto, Italianization of Lusitum, its name in the twelfth century, when it was a municipality in its own right, a feature that it lost with a Royal Decree of 1937 , to become a fraction of the Municipality of Bari.
