MUZZICATO

Typical of the Sicilian area between Enna and Nicosia it is very rare, it should derive from a nickname originated from an episode connected with a bite. We find the Muzzicato family since 1400, with deed of May 20, 1420 drawn up in Barcelona they received the investiture as barons of Sisto of Nicosia.
