Pederzani has a stock in the Brescia area, especially in Nave, one in Bologna, Parma and Ferrara, they should derive from dialectal modifications of the name Pietro, traces of this surname can be found in a document dated 1498 in Bergamo with the cleric cleric Baldassarre Peterzani and in Val Brembana in 1668 when a certain Marcus Peterzanus is vicar, a prominent figure was the Bergamo painter, a pupil of Tiziano, Simone Peterzano (1540 - 1596), to whose workshop he went to learn the art of painting no less than Caravaggio.
