PEROSINO | PEROSIO

Perosino is specific Piedmontese of Asti in particular, Perosio very rare would seem to be Genoese, but it is probably of Asti origins, they could derive from the toponym Perosini di Antignano (AT) or Valperosa (AT), but a derivation from Perosa (CN) is also possible, or various similar toponyms in the province of Turin, we find traces of these surnames in Milan in a deed of 1563: "... counted to Messer Cesaro agiente of sor Galeazo Perosino ducats six gold for his merzede in the dipinher the desegnio dela faciata of giesia ... ".
