SCHIPANI

Typical Calabrian, of the provinces of Crotone and Catanzaro, has a strain perhaps autochthonous also in Castelpoto in the Beneventano, it should derive from an italianized form of the ethnic of Albania Shqiptar in Albanian. Traces of this knowledge are found in Crotone in 1700 where the Schipani are indicated among the notables of the city.
