Suppa has a strain between Caserta and Beneventano and one in Calabria. In Crotonese, Catanzaro and Vibonese especially and in the Reggino, Suppi, almost unique is Veronese, Suppo is from Turin, Torino, Avigliana, Caprie, Almese, Condove, Rubiana and Rivoli, these surnames should derive from a medieval Germanic name Suppa, originated From a nickname based on the Germanic medieval term (A.A.T.) soup (soup, pieces of bread dipped in the broth). We find traces of these cognitive references to Trani in Bari in an act of 1484: "... Canteens Octubris die Fifth Eiusdem Tercie Indictionis Trani. Nos sebastianus suppa de trano regius ad vitam ad a contractus iudex vocatus con iglesias in subscripts contractu temporum quo fuit celebratus for testes subscriptos similiter suitable et attested con testibus in eadem ininstrument contractu ut supra ab ipsis partibus Rasaldinius de Vincencio de Vigiliis habitator Trani
