SUSANI | SUSANNI | SUZZANI

Very rare the first and the third, almost unique the second, are specific to South Milan, until the Piacenza, Susani could derive from the toponym Susano (BO) or the name of various localities in Emilia, with the same name, however all originate from the Latin cognomen Susianus, probably the name of veteran Legionnaires, who received a gift of land plots as a recognition of their services.
