TABELLI | TABILI | TABILIO

Tabelli, very very rare, is Roman, Tabili, equally rare, is typical of the Piceno, Rome and Monterotondo in the Roman, Tabilio is specific to the Pescarese, Picciano in particular, the hypothesis that may derive from the name of the Tunisian spice Tabil is almost certainly Unfounded, much more likely derive instead from the medieval name Tabilio brought for example at the beginning of 1500 by the notary Tabilio Martani of Spoleto or, much more probably derived from the fact of being the ancestor of a Tabelius or Tabilius (scribe with notarial functions).
