TIRAPELLE

Tirapelle is specific to Veronese, in particular of Roncà, but also of Verona and Zimella and of Montecchio Maggiore in Vicenza, could derive from an italianization of the word cimbro traupe (bunch) or of Traupiglja (Ribes), but, much more probably derives By an italianized alteration of the medieval Germanic word trappe (snare, snare), perhaps to indicate in the founder a hunter.
