Specific Veneto, Del Vicentino, Valdastico area (VI) in particular, derives from the apheresis of medieval names of Lombard origin as Tetholdus or Bertholdus. (See BERTOLDI) Traces of this knowledge are found in the Vicenza in Rotzo in 1700 with the notary of the Serenissima Republic Antonio Toldo fu Battista di S. Pietro.
