Vinai is specific to Cuneo and the nearby areas of Turin, Imperia and Savona, Vinattieri is typical Florentine, both derive from the craft of wine producers and tavernieri, in 1260 in Florence is established the Guild of the Vinattieri, (the first of Minor arts), from which this cognitization will then originate, the same thing can be said for the Guild of the Vinai of the main cities of Cuneo.
