Etymological origin of Italian surname: Werner

Very rare is typical altoaltesino, derives from the German name Werner (the Italian Guarnieri). Additions provided by Giovanni Vezzelli comes from the old High German staff Warinheri, whose first part is perhaps referred to the name of the tribe of the Varni, cited by Tacitus as Varini (Germany, 40, 1), the second to ' heri ' = Army.
