ZOCCARI | ZOCCARO

Zoccari, very very rare, it would be the Anconetano, Zoccaro, even rarer, it would be Calabrian, for the Marche strain could be an ethnic form indicating the origin of the ancestor from localities such as Zocca in Modena or as the homonymous one in Ferrarese, but it is also possible that it derives from the fact of being the founder a son of a Zoccus medieval Italian name (see ZOCCA).
