ZODA

Zoda is typical of central Sicily, of the nisseno and in particular of Villalba, Resuttano, San Cataldo and Caltanissetta, it could derive from Italianized modifications of the Arabic name Zeyd (abundance), important traces of this cognominizzazione we find them in Vibo Valentia, in the second half of 1600, with the painter Francesco Zoda (1639 ~ 1719).
