Bellebono is very rare and would appear to be from Bergamo, Belleboni is practically unique also of Lombard origin and probably from Bergamo, Bellebuono, very rare, is specific of the Foggia area, of Foggia and Deliceto, Belliboni almost disappeared from northern Italy, all derive from the medieval name Bellebonus that we find quoted in a map of the court of Milan of 1 March 1137: "... ", trace of this family is found in Parre (BG) where the Baron Belleboni became feudal lords of the castle and at least part of the territories of Parrese and in Varese in 1180, where in a sale deed it is possible to read:" ... territory of suprascripto Busti et dicitur ad Rossoram, whose coehret a mane et meridie predicti Algisii, a via quam vadit ad Divinigam, upstream Petri Belleboni, such tenor ut de cetero ipse Alg isius et eius succesores et cui dederint tener et habere debeant suprascriptam petiam terre ... ". additions provided by Mr. Bellebon France a Belleboni branch emigrated to France from Lombardy towards the end of the 14th century the brothers Luc Bellebonus and Balzarinus Bellebonus. We find an Emilian branch of the Belliboni in Ferrara where in 705 Anastasio Belliboni was consul of the city.
