CONVERSINI | CONVERTINI | CONVERTINO

Conversini, very very rare, has a small stock in Foligno and Valtopina in the Perugia area and one in Tarquinia in the Viterbo area. Convertini is decidedly Apulian, widespread in Bari, Brindisi and Taranto, Convertino has an Apulian core in Bari, Brindisi and tarentino, with secondary lineages in Turin, Rome and Milan, these surnames should derive from the medieval name Conversinus or Convertinus, a hypocoristic form of Conversus (see CONVERSI), traces of these surnames of which we find in Florence in the second half of the 1300s with the professor of rhetoric and notary Johannes Convertinus or Conversinus.
