We find the surname among the signatories of the Peace of Eleonora, LPDE of 1388 (although with the variantCuculla): Cuculla Gonnario, jurato ville Sammungleo (* Sammungleo.odierno Samugheo. Mandrolisay or Barbagia di Belvì). In the Condaghe of San Nicola di Trullas, 11th, 13th century, there are also: Cucuta Ianne (306), servant of San Nicola, owner of a vineyard in Narbones, which he sold without the prior consent: the prior of the monastery therefore he claims the property; Cucutu Petru (252 - 287); and Cucutu Andria (241, 252 and 287), servants in Mularia (now Mulargia). Currently the surname Cugudda is present in 17 Italian Municipalities, of which 11 in Sardinia: Neoneli 14, Samugheo 8, Tortoli 8, etc. If we look again we can see that the Cuculla Gonnario of the 1388 LPDE belongs to Samugheo!
