Additions provided by Paolo Ziggiotto when I was a child, my grandfather told me that his surname came from Sigismund, an italianization of the last name. Additions provided by Giovanni Vezzelli ZIGGIOTTI-Surname Veneto which derives from Egidio staff through Egilio, (anciently Zilio and Cilio), who became Zilio, Zilli, Ziliàti, Zéggio, Zeggiàto, Ziliòtto, Ziggiòtti.
