Corona de la nobleza Balko
Ancient and noble German family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. According to some heraldic reconstruction, it would descend from the noble family Balk or Balke from Silesia, with which it shares the blazon. According to other conjectures, however, this family, as a reward for valuable services rendered to Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor, was admitted to the "Briefadel" (lit. "letter of nobility"), the so-called new nobility as opposed to "Uradel", a term coined only in modern times, in reference to noble families whose ancestral lineage can be traced back to before the Middle Ages. Another branch of the family, known as Balko or Balkò settled in Hungary where it likewise flourished nobly. Family names so old, without any doubt, honour not only the families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy the living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious members. ...
