The noble Bieneck family, of German origin, traces its roots back to the Middle Ages, with documented records dating as far back as the 13th century. The earliest known members were likely local officials and administrators, although much of their activity remains shrouded in mystery. One of the first names to emerge is Johann Hagenberger, active between 1200 and 1400, described as an "unbekannter Handelsrichter" (unknown commercial judge). His exact role is uncertain, but it is believed he may have worked in the commercial or legal fields within the territory of what is now western Germany. In 1350, Friderch appears, listed as an "unbekannter Custos" (custodian or church official of unspecified duties). His position suggests a potential connection to the ecclesiastical or administrative spheres. Later, in 1540, Albütz is mentioned, referred to as an "unbekannter Bevollmächtigter", a representative or delegate without further details, possibly involved in notarial or political affairs.
