Da Filippo discesero i fratelli Matteo, Ligorio, Bartolomeo e Francesco, capostipite questi dei Caracciolo del Sole. Da Matteo, Marcello, marchese di Casaldalbore per regio diploma 27 nov. 1569, signore di Torre Pagliara, Bagnara, Montedurso, Pesco, Petralcina, Secli e Leverano, e Troiano, principe di Torrenuova il 23 aprile 1647. Da Ligori, signore verso il 1278 di Giffoni e Pisciotta, discesero Giacomo, barone di Parete e Vallenorto nel 1387, e Giovanni Antonio, conte di Oppido il 28 ott. 1530, fondatore nel 1546 del monte detto d'Oppido, che obbligava i Caracciolo, che volessero usufruire dei vantaggi, ad inquartare le proprie armi con quelle dei Pisquizi. Bartolomeo, morto nel 1267, fu capostipite di molti illustri rami. così i conti di Burgenza dal 1428, i marchesi di Gioiosa dal 1594, i conti di Nicastro dal 1496, ...
