Nobility crown De MalestroitTrès illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Juhaël, assiste aux funérailles d'Alain Fergent, dans l'église de Redon en 1119, Geoffroi, capitaine d'Auray et Jean son fils, décapités à Paris en 1344, pour avoir favorisé le parti de Jean de Monfort; Jean, premier président aux comptes, chancelier de Bretagne et évêque de Saint-Brieuc, puis de Nantes, mort en 1443, frère de Thibaud, évêque de Tréguier, puis de Cornouaille, mort en 1408; Guillaume, neveu des précédents, évêque de Nantes, archevêque de Thessalonique et abbé de Saint-Séver au diocèse de Coutances, mort en 1491. La branche aînée fondue vers 1352 dans la maison de Châteaugiron, qui prit le nom de Malastroit, d'où la baronnie de Malestroit est passée successivement aux Raguenel, Rieux, Laval, Montjean, Acigné, Cossé-Brissac, Guénégaud, Lannion et Sérent; Ia branche d'Oudon éteinte en 1550; la branche de Keraër fondue vers 1600 dans Montalais; la branche d'Uzel fondue dans Coëtquen, puis Durfort; la branche de Pontcallec fondue dans Papin puis Guer. ...
