Ancient and illustrious family tribunitian and patrician of Venice, of clear and ancestral virtue, which spread, over the centuries, in different regions of Italy and of the world. 1819 – 8 March 1892), published in Pisa in three volumes between 1886 and 1890. Moreover, this family, in all ages, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal professions and in the military service. Among these, without undervalue the omitted, we would like to mention: Giovanni, Grand Chancellor in 1482; Girolamo, Grand Chancellor in 1524; Teodoro, Bishop of Curzola, from 14 March 1611 to August 1625, when he died; Tommaso, doctor of both one and the other law, flourishing in 1614; Agostino, merchant and entrepreneur; Carlo Maria, militiaman, who distinguished himself in Candia and Morea; Luigi Maria, doctor of both one and the other law, flourishing in 1704. From the analysis of colors and elements of the coat of arms we can have some information on the family virtues. Gold ("or") symbolizes generosity and elevation of the mind; the lion means bravery, strength, ferocity and when it is red ("gules") on a silver background ("argent") is symbol of a very brave warrior, full of loyalty in operating. Family names so old, without any doubt honor not only families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy the living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious members.
