Lopo Sanches de G., filho de Rui Peres de G., viveu na Biscaia, foi governador e alciade-mor da vila de Gustaria, que, durante sete anos, defendeu a favor do Rei D. Pedro, o Cruel, de Castela, contra o Rei D. Henrique II, o qual ficou vencedor, tomando conta do Reino, pelo que Lopo Sanches, com sua mulher e filhos, deixou a Biscaia e passou a Lisboa, em tempo de D. Fernando de Portugal.
