Varios de sus miembros fueron Regidores de San Sebastián. Una de sus ramas pasó a Caracas (Venezuela). El Capitán Don Bartolomé Fernández de J. Villavicencio, caballero noble Hijodalgo de la ciudad de Baeza, originario de la histórica familia de los Villavicencios de J. de la Frontera, Duque de San Lorenzo, Grandes de España, fue Conquistador de Canarias. Casato con Doña Inés Francesca, fue progenitor de: Don Juan Fernández de J. Villavicencio, que fue General de las Armadas españolas en el Africa, Gobernador y Alcaide del Castillo de Santa Cruz de Mar Pequeña y Familiar del Santo Oficio de la Inquisición. Casó con Doña Catalina Luzardo, dando vida a: Don Luis Sánchez de J. Villavicencio, Maestre de Campo de la Infantería española, Gobernador de Fuerteventura, que fue célebre por sus proezas en Africa, Madeira y Fuerteventura, recomendado al Rey Don Felipe II en 3 de abril de 1591, por el primer Marqués de Lanzarote. De su matrimonio con Doña Juana Pérez de León Sanabria, nació: Luis de León Sanabria y Villavicencio, también Maestre de Campo, que como se ve y según costumbre en aquella época, tomó los apellidos de su madre, abandonando el apellido paterno. ...
