Corona de la nobleza Libardoni Ancient and very noble family of Trentino, said Libardi or Libardoni, with residence in Levico, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has spread, over the centuries, in different regions of Italy and worldwide. The origin of this surname, according to many influential genealogists, should be sought in the medieval name "Libardus", an archaic form for "Leopard", belonged, probably, to a now unknown progenitor. With diploma of 5 February 1733, issued by the Bishop Prince of Trento, Anton Dominik von Thun II, Libardo de' L. was created noble hereditary of Trentino. Besides, this family, in all ages, always stands out, thanks... Continuaráto the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal and ecclesiastical professions and in the military service. Among these, without undervalue the omitted, we would like to mention: Luigi, ascribed to the College of Notaries of Trento, living in 1579; Nicholas, landowner, flourishing in Levico, in the sixteenth century; Francesco Maria, Doctor in both laws, living in Levico, in 1603; Niccolò, Doctor in "utroque jure", living in Levico, in 1623; Agostino, notary in Trento, flourishing in 1656; Vittorio, counselor in Trento, living in 1659; Tommaso, Doctor of Law, flourishing in Lavis, in 1722; Giulio Maria, soldier to the services of the Serenissima; P. Luigi, of the Congregation of the Regular Clerics of St. Paul, flourishing in 1768; Niccolò Maria, landowner, flourishing in 1771; Pietro who, in the year 1787, sold a land size located in Casalino to the abbot Francesco Gasperini of Pergine; P. Michele, of the Order of Preachers, flourishing in 1798; Giovanni, chief physician, living in 1799; Antonio, merchant, flourishing in Lavis, in 1804; Claudio, soldier, who distinguished himself during the siege of Venice, in the years 1848-49. Not many families, even among the oldest, can boast a so valuable noble origin, the descendants of which, quite rightly, can be proud.
