En 1775, Juan M., vecino de Artajona; su hermano Juan Martín M., y los hijos de ambos, fueron también reconocidos en su nobleza por los Tribunales de Navarra, como descendientes de la casa de M., sita en el lugar de Abarzuza, también en Navarra. En 1705, los hermano José, Miguel y Antonio de M. vecinos de Estella y de Cascante, probaron ser descendientes de la casa llamada Martiricorena, del lugar de Munárriz. A una rama de los M., que moró en el lugar de Zuriain, del Ayuntamiento de Esteribar y partido judicial de Aoiz, perteneció Juan M., natural de Zuriain, que casó con doña Catalina de Lezaún, natural de Lezaún (Navarra), y fueron padres de Juan M. Lezaún, natural de Zuriain, que contrajo matrimoino con doña María de Hereña, natural del lugar de Cahicedo de Yuso, Álava (hija de Francisco de Hereña y de doña María Valles de Aguilera, ambos de Cahicedo de Yuso). De esa unión nació Matías M. y Hereña, natural de Vitoria y Caballero de la Orden de Alcántara desde 1689.
