Nobility crown NavaillesEl origen de este ilustre apellido, por referencias de historiadores de la época y otras averiguadas por Araldis en los archivos registrales de ciudades y otros privados, podríamos afirmar, pero no asegurar, que este escudo u otro muy similar a él, apareció inicialmente desde el siglo XI al XIV, particularmente en las fiestas llevadas a cabo en 1219 en los alrededores del monasterio de Huelgas (Burgos), con motivo de las celebraciones por armar caballero a Fernando III, hijo de Alfonso VIII y Doña Leonor de Plantagenet. Las referencias de esta familia parecen precisarse con más frecuencia desde el siglo XV al XIX en especial los hechos de la negociación con los franceses en el Tratado de la "Devolución" de los Países Bajos a Francia en 1662, reinando Felipe IV. Todo ello parece coincidir con la memoria familiar de algunos de los miembros de la rama de la familia Navailles. Son sus armas: En azur, un lebrel de plata, acollarado de gules; el jefe, con tres ruedas de espuela de plata. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia N., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales. Los esmaltes del arma de los N. pregonan los siguientes valores: el Azur corresponde al símbolo del agua, de la continuidad de la vida, es un color de nobleza, belleza, castidad y fidelidad, además otras virtudes caracterizaban a la familia, tales como la abundancia económica, la perseverancia, la suerte, la fama y el afán de victoria. ...
