Nobility crown PavoniLa famiglia si denominava ancora nel secolo XV "de' Scolari" da Pavone, borgata della pianura bresciana. Ivi viveva sul principio di quel secolo un Antonio padre di Francesco padre di Lazzarino e Giovanni Antonio, i quali il 20 agosto 1456 acquistarono la cittadinanza bresciana. Figlio di Gio. Antonio fu un altro Giovanni-Antonio, notaio, padre di Alessandro che in rogito del 1498 viene qualificato "Alexander dictus nobilis" e conserva in altri documenti tale qualifica; morì nel 1510. Dalla sposa nobile Giulia Gambara ebbe un solo figlio Giovanni Antonio IV. Incominciando da questi la famiglia fu chiamata semplicemente "de Pavone". Dalla moglie Polissena Cinaglia ebbe Alessandro che si distinse in un famoso torneo avvenuto in Brescia nel 1584 e Lodovico che con la moglie nobile Leonora Avogadro, continuò la famiglia I suoi due figli Ercole ed Ortensio chiesero ed ottennero nel 1586 di essere ammessi nel Consiglio Generale della nobiltà Bresciana.
