En todo caso tendrá ese origen por el apellido Valdés, que fué unido al de P. en forma compuesta. Las noticias que de P. tenemos ascusan que tuvo rancio solar en la ciudad de Huete (Cuenca); que procede del Conde don Garci Navarro de Huete, y que desde tiempos antiguos gozaron los de este linaje en dicha población las prerrogativas de los hijosdalgo. Don Gonzalo de P. ganó ejecutoria de hidalguía en Granada en 1574. Una rama de esta familia, apellidada de P. Valdés, residió en varias localidades del partido judicial de Huete, pasando también a Alcalá de Henares y a Valladolid. A esa rama perteneció Juan de P. Valdés, natural de la villa de Villar del Aguila, en el partido de Huete, que casó con doña Isabel Palomino Iniesta, natural de Montalvo, villa que también pertenece al partido de Huete, y procrearon a Sebastián de P. Valdés, natural de Montalvo, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Josefa Bravo del Castillo, natural de Horcajada de la torre, villa del partido de Huete (hija de Julián Bravo y de doña Eufrasia del Castillo, naturales de Horcajada), naciendo de esa unión Sebastián Julián de P. Valdés, que sigue, y Manuel Sebastián de P. Valdés, natural de Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), y Caballero de la Orden de Santiago, en la que ingresó el 29 de Mayo de 1699. ...
