The exact period of settlement in North America has not been definately determined but Information extracted from Public and Civil registry archive's confirm that 'Ula Barto Poole', from South Carolina, was a descendant of the Poole family which emigrated to North America from England, soon after the begining of the great migration in the 17th Century. He was born on the 23rd of February 1870. He married 'Lila Yeargan', of South Carolina on the 14th of December 1892. He died died in 1906, leaving issue three sons and one daughter.
