Very old family who adopted their coat of arms before the 13th century. Changes in the 13th and 14th centuries were frequent. The elders of this house forced their younger siblings to add the break (that is to say a piece or piece of furniture) to the full arms of the common author to distinguish the various branches coming from the same stump. As the coat of arms developed, the name of this house began to be adopted by its descendants, but the inheritance in this name was not absolute until the end of the 13th century. The history of this family is little known and there is not much information on its account, for the reason that almost all the public titles and others were destroyed as a result of the internal wars which devastated France and brought troops from all over the world. neighboring nations; and several notaries have, for this reason, only the minutes of the first half of the XVIIIth century. As it is not possible to establish a continuous filiation for this house, we find ourselves forced to produce here each of its members as we have encountered them by searching the titles where they were recalled. This old house, which several bibliographical sources say to be of noble origin, has furnished a host of illustrious figures in the career of arms. Among the most famous people worthy of memory of this family we can cite: Perrot, from the parish of Etables, and Guillaume his son, married to Jeanne Goures, ennobled before 1423.
