Gerolamo Sottocasa obtained the comital title from Venice, 12 January 1774, with the fiefdom of Fracchia, Fraccina and Cassina del Fero (Lodi). This noble family had a palace in Bergamo in via Osmano and funds in Pedrengo, where the noble tomb is now. In the church of S. Bartolomeo in Bergamo you can still see the tombstones of the ancient tombs. Jerome published many occasional poems (1754-1794); other Girolamo his nephew, together with Agostino Prezzati, helped Maestro Simone Mayr in the establishment of a musical school in Bergamo. Girolamo and Antonio quondam Giacomo, obtained confirmation of the nobility on July 24, 1820, and are registered in the List of 1828. In that of 1840 they are registered with the title of count, which belongs to all descendants: Girolamo, Giuseppe, Antonio, Luigi and Alexander.
