Originaria delle Fiandre, e trapiantata in Cremona nel XV secolo. Diede alla patria tre decurioni; Giovanni in Croce, eletto nel 1619, ed il marchese Paolo, tribuno dei militi, eletto nel 1653. Questa famiglia vanta due Cardinali, Girolamo creato da Ubano VIII nel 1627, e Pietro che dopo essere stato Vescovo di Lodi per 16 anni, fu elevato alla saera porpora da Alessandro VII nel 1660. L'arma della famiglia Vidoni è: D'argento, alla torre di rosso merlata di quattro pezzi alla ghibellina, aperta e finestrata del campo, fondata sulla pianura erbosa, ed alla vite di verde, fruttifera di bianco al naturale; alla porta della torre, ed accollante, detta vite entrando ed uscendo per le finestre della torre, di cui corona la cima.
