Sin dal principio del XIV secolo si trova questa famiglia, già chiara e distinta nella città di Pesaro. Un ramo di essa si trapiantò in Venezia, dove Giovanni e Paolo Arduini si segnalarono in servizio di quella Repubblica nella circostanza della guerra di Chioggia e n'ebbero in compenso la nobiltà veneta. Gli Arduini, sebbene già nobili, esercitarono la mercatura ed il commercio per lunghi anni.
