Ancient and very noble Piedmontese family, and more precisely from the Cuneo area, of clear and ancestral virtue, which has spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. As also reported by the historian, heraldist and King's commissioner for the heraldic consultation Antonio Manno, it boasts a common origin with the Abbots of Florence and Rome as well as with the Abbots of Sicily. The first records relating to this noble family date back to the seventeenth century, in relation to the enfeoffment of rustic goods, in the year 1694, in Peveragno. Giovanni Vincenzo A., born in 1754 and died in 1843, was a passionate collector of paintings, writer, archaeologist, partisan at the time of French rule in Italy.
