Vennero, i Aberia, da Corio a Nole e di lì a Torino. Si ha memoria di un Giovanni Domenico Aberia, nato a Corio il 21 febb. 1619, padre di Giambattista, nato a Nole il 4 maggio 1673, morto a Torino nel 1758. Costui, appena sedicenne, era emigrato in Germania ove, come appaltatore delle provincie, nella guerra del 1690, si era arricchito. Suo figlio, Carlo Domenico, morto a Torino il 23 marzo 1758, già munizioniere generale dell'esercito (I aprile 1733), fu il primo conte di Sale, di cui fu investito il 10 maggio 1742. Ebbe dal suo matrimonio con Antonia Domenica Gianotti, da Giaveno, numerosa prole, fra cui Benedetto Maurizio (nato a Torino il 7 lugl. 1738 e morto a Torino il 30 dicembre 1794) che, continuatore della linea, fu investito di Sale l'8 gennaio 1779, dopo aver costituito in primogenitura il feudo di Argentine, di cui era stato investito pure
