Famiglia antichissima che ebbe in Brà dignità e magistrature sino dal 1200. Oddone fu uno degli arbitri scelti a determinare i confini tra Brà e Sanfrè nel 1284; Niccolino fu consigliere nel 1341; Andrea nel 1380; Giorgio, sindaco nel 1406 e nel 1409, trattò la causa de'confini tra Brà e Cherasco; Giovanni di Andrea fu ascritto all'ordine dei vassalli prima del 1550 ed ebbe il titolo di signore di Sabecco; Giovanni-Giorgio di Giovanni fu anch'egli ascritto all'ordine dei vassalli, e divenuto ricchissimo, nel 1728 fu investito per lire tredicimila dal feudo di Rorà col titolo di conte. In tempi a noi più vicini alcuni di questa famiglia si segnalarono nel mestiere delle armi, e specialmente il cavaliere Luigi-Francesco, che coraggiosamente combattè per la patria dal settembre del 1782 sino al 1796, e salì sino al grado di colonnello: durante la dominazione francese in Piemonte visse vita privata, e rientrò a
